The Shanti Farm – Connecting People and Animals

The Shanti Farm in Northern Israel is a non-profit center for the rescue and rehabilitation of a wide range of animals. From cows, pigs, chickens and goats to cats and dogs, we work to create a loving environment for animals of all kinds. The Shanti Farm was established in 2019 by animal activist and advocate Inbal Kessem, who believes in protecting those who don't have a voice in society, and are often neglected, abandoned and invisible and are in need of our care and compassion. We specialize in the hardest cases, animals who are wounded or disabled, the ones others have given up on. We take them all in with a commitment to rehabilitate and care for them, which includes thousands of dollars a month in veterinary costs. We have found loving homes for over 1,000 animals since we began. We work with dozens of dedicated volunteers each week and create connections and healing between people and our animal friends.

Since the war began in October 2023, we have taken in more than 200 traumatized and often wounded dogs and cats from southern Israel and Gaza, and the numbers of abandoned animals have increased significantly over the past year nationwide – them being the silent victims of the war. We are currently at overcapacity and stretched to our limits, and we continue to receive multiple requests every week to save more animals. We have an opportunity now to increase the size of the farm, which will allow us to rescue and rehabilitate more animals who need urgent care.

We need your help! Please assist us in saving animals in the most desperate of situations. Your contribution will allow us to continue and expand our work so that no animal who needs us the most will go without love and care.

Thank you!
